Position SummaryProvides interventions to qualifying students with disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies.

- Uses ABA methodologies.
- Demonstrates understanding of students’ needs and is respectful towards those students and their needs.
- Demonstrates initiative with students.
- Communicates concerns and praises with classroom teacher and/or supervisor.
- Manages one student or a small group of students based on student goals.
- Collects student data and gives instructional feedback.
- Participates in physical activities which are a part of the students’ basic program.
- Follows assigned schedule and exhibits promptness and consistency in providing ABA services to students.
- Supervises student(s) during one-on-one and classroom instruction.
- Maintains safe environment for students.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).

Skills:
Experience in ABA methodologies is recommended but not required. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to staff, parents, students, and administrators. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detail from oral or written instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to reflect on results of behavior observations of various students/environments.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work with emotionally, physically and/or mentally impaired students. Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Frequently lift and/or move equipment and supplies; reach with arms and hands; frequently stand and/or walk; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to bend at the trunk more than average; frequently lifting and changing students who need assistance for personal needs.
Work EnvironmentNoisy environment; continuous interaction with public, staff, and students; multiple demands from several people.
Travel DemandsRequires travel from school to school.
