Job Title: Industrial Millwright

Location: Western Chicago Suburbs, IL, USA

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $38-$45 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: 45-55 hours per week, some Saturdays required

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright to join our team in the western suburbs of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, including equipment alignment, calibration, and inspections.
• Assist with machinery setup, breakdowns, and relocations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on schedule.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime, some Saturdays, and occasional holidays.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience.
• OSHA 10 certification (required).
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and performing demanding tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
