Production Manager
Overview
Days - Monday through Friday (Saturdays are on a rotational basis as needed)
Wage type - Hourly
Rate - $30 - $38/hour
Reports to - Production Manager
First Shift Production Supervisor for our Metals / Machining operations. In this role, you will be required to lead work teams in the safe and efficient manufacturing of quality products.
This position serves as a focal point of all production operations within the company and requires coordination of work with other department supervisors, employees, engineering, and management to ensure timely delivery of quality parts.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the completion of production orders by team members in assigned departments
- Provide assigned teams direction and support, and provide training in proper work methods
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead team members in following all organization and department safety policies and procedures
- Assign production tasks and solicit ideas from team members to improve processes, productivity, and timeliness
- Communicate with team leads and manufacturing engineering on production orders and related issues
- Troubleshoot basic manufacturing problems to determine problems with materials or equipment
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous CNC machining experience involving multi axis lathes and mills required
- 3-5 years’ experience as a production supervisor in a CNC machine shop strongly preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing standard practices for quality, efficiency, and safety
- Good analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills and understanding and practical application of Microsoft Office and business software programs including ERP systems
