12pm-8:30pm Mon‑Fri
Pay Range:$19‑$24 per hour
Job Summary:The Warehouse Lead receives shipments, checks deliveries, creates spreadsheets, manages inventory responsibilities, and performs other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.
Warehouse Lead Responsibilities:- Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.
- Verify and key all records of incoming shipments (Bill of Ladings).
- Frequently communicate with Material Handlers.
- Assist in enforcing plant safety rules, housekeeping standards and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations.
- Communicate all problems and work‑related issues to Warehouse Manager and Plant Manager.
- Check outgoing product against shipping orders; record and report discrepancies.
- Compare the identifying information on counts and weights from tally sheets of outbound/inbound shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Record and report shortages or damaged goods.
- Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards are met by all warehouse personnel.
- Complete timely and accurately all paperwork associated with the position which includes packing lists, P.O., labels, bills of lading, etc.
- Resolve day‑to‑day issues by working effectively with others.
- Responsible for both shipping and receiving of IBOs.
- Perform cycle counts within all areas of the warehouse as well as compile and report all findings to the management team.
- Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the production planning manager.
- Adhere to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non‑compliance to Management immediately.
- Assist, when needed, to perform duties of a warehouse person by driving a forklift over 50% of time and passing the driving test.
- Inform the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
- Ability to speak, read and write English to carry out instructions and communicate with others as needed.
- Strong problem‑solving, follow‑up and decision‑making skills; strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and excel in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Work an 8+ or 12+ hour shift while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping with hands and arms, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Manual movement of cases of finished goods that weigh up to 25 pounds.
