We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join our team at our West Chicago, Illinois, and/or LaVergne, Tennessee

Reporting to the Global Content and Training Manager, this role will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, learner-centered learning solutions that support business priorities, enhance employee capability, and drive performance across the organization.

Purposeof Role
The Learning Experience Designer creates, delivers, and evaluates learning solutions that enable employees to perform effectively and consistently. This role partners with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design engaging, learner-centered training aligned to business needs and operational realities.
Key Accountabilities- Partner with business stakeholders to identify training needs and translate business requirements into effective, learner‑centered solutions.
- Design, develop, and enhance training programs to support and accelerate business objectives.
- Create and maintain high‑quality learning materials, including training manuals, multimedia assets, and other educational resources.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and measure impact to ensure knowledge transfer and behavior change.
- Collaborate with the Group Learning System Lead to manage learning content within the Sims University Learning Center, including curriculum, events, and user access.
- Leverage existing global courses and curricula to maximize learning system utilization and efficiency.
- Manage learning projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Apply company brand voice and messaging consistently across all learning materials to reinforce culture and values.
- Support Learning & Development initiatives, including leadership development programs and the SLS Knowledge Hub.
- Deliver training through multiple modalities, including classroom, virtual, on‑the‑job, workshops, webinars, and eLearning.
- Stay current on learning and development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance the learning experience.
- Experience designing and delivering training in corporate or operational environments.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design and training.
