- We’re seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support automation systems that drive efficiency, safety, and reliability in our operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain process automation systems.
- Collaborate with process engineers on P&IDs, utility lists, instrumentation tags, and layouts.
- Define project scopes, estimate budgets, and prepare technical specifications for field instrumentation and DCS.
- Issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, and support procurement.
- Oversee installations, track deliveries, and manage AS-BUILT documentation.
- Configure logic, visualization, and field I/O; support contract programmers as needed.
- Lead testing, startup, and commissioning of automation systems.
- Perform updates and preventive maintenance on DCS/PLC hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot and reconfigure control logic, alarms, and visualization.
- Guide technicians in diagnosing issues and ensuring system performance.
- Conduct site visits, manage supplier testing, and verify compliance.
- Set operational limits, define alarms, and analyze system data for performance improvements.
- Generate trends for pressure, temperature, flow, and valve metrics.
- Maintain system documentation and recommend technology upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with QMS, Health & Safety standards, and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- + years of relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens).
- HMI, SCADA, or DCS programming experience a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
