Cost Accountant

$80,000 to $95,000 Annually Plus Benefits

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to take ownership of cost accounting activities and help build a scalable, accurate cost infrastructure as we expand production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring precise inventory valuation, reliable reporting, and high-quality cost visibility that empowers better operational and strategic decisions. This position is responsible for ensuring that the product costs accurately reflect the manufacturing process for quoting, cost analysis, and inventory valuation.

• Interact with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing Managers to prepare and analyze costs due to quotes for new business opportunities, process changes, or material cost updates.
• Coordinate the annual cost rollup of manufactured costs, explaining variances from previous year.
• Analyze work order variances and work with manufacturing to resolve.
• Month End duties including valuing inventories, calculating obsolescence, reviewing scrap, and investigating variances to support the financial close.
• Assist Controller by participating in any project relating to costing, cost savings, cost analysis, or financial studies.
• Perform financial reporting processes, which includes monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close procedures, account reconciliations, & variance analysis.
• Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting
• Demonstrate strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency:
  Office Suite - Word, Excel (Advanced)
