Overview
The Quality Technician plays a critical, hands-on role in ensuring that every product meets defined quality and performance standards. This position performs visual and dimensional inspections of filled and unfilled paks, verifying conformance to specifications and ensuring consistent product quality.
Working directly on the production floor and in the lab, the Quality Technician partners with Operations and Quality leadership to identify issues in real time and maintain compliance with company procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of filled and unfilled products per defined test plans and frequency.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, scales, custom testing equipment, and gauges to verify key dimensions and attributes.
- Accurately document inspection results in a computer, including defects, non-conformances, and measurements, in the designated quality system.
- Immediately communicate quality concerns to Quality Leadership to ensure timely corrective action.
- Support line start-up verification, appearance checks, and final release inspections.
- Support environmental monitoring sampling as directed.
- Follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide feedback to improve inspection methods and consistency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing inspection role (packaging or food/beverage experience a plus).
- Must be fluent in English; it would be great if you also speak Spanish
- Ability to use common measurement devices such as calipers and scales.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer skills (data entry, Excel, and quality records).
- Must adhere to all GMP, safety, and company policies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production.
- Willingness to support production-related tasks as assigned, even when not directly related to quality inspection activities.
