Nurse Practitioner, IVF / Fertility
Overview
We are currently hiring a skilled and compassionate IVF Nurse to support our Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) team. This role involves close collaboration with reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, medical assistants, and front office staff to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our patients.
You will play a vital role in the coordination, education, and emotional support of patients undergoing fertility treatments including IVF, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers. We are specifically seeking candidates with prior clinical management experience who can take the initiative, support nursing staff, and contribute to improving workflow and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate all aspects of patient care for fertility cycles (IVF, FET, etc.)
- Educate patients on treatment protocols, fertility medications, and self-injection techniques
- Provide emotional support and detailed instruction throughout treatment
- Communicate lab and diagnostic results and facilitate next steps with providers
- Assist with in-office procedures such as ultrasounds, blood draws, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers
- Monitor and document patient progress in the EMR accurately and promptly
- Triage patient concerns via phone, portal, or in person and relay information to the care team
- Ensure patients are fully informed, supported, and empowered throughout their fertility journey
- Maintain knowledge of current fertility medications, treatment protocols, and clinic policies
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; REI or OB/GYN experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of hormone therapies, injection training, and patient care in women’s health
- Compassionate communicator with a calm and professional demeanor
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- EMR experience required (e.g., eClinical
Works, Athena, or similar) - BLS Certification (Required); ACLS (Preferred)
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, emotionally sensitive, fast-paced clinic setting
- Prior experience as a fertility nurse or IVF coordinator
- Familiarity with infertility medications, IVF cycle monitoring, and lab result interpretation
- Understanding of cycle mapping and hormone monitoring
