PositionManufacturing Technician II (Packaging. Night Shift. 2/2/3 Schedule)
Responsibilities- Operate assigned machinery, service machines with materials, monitor equipment status, reintroduce materials, manually palletize finished materials, and ensure a smooth flow of product.
- Start-up machinery including equipment set-up, select recipes, perform data entry on manufacturing computerized systems (SCADA and HMI), make minor adjustments, and address critical sensor challenges.
- Perform manual packaging tasks including hand packaging and rework of in-process and finished material.
- Operate light material handling equipment (motorized/manual pallet jacks, non-motorized lifts) to safely move, store, or deliver material.
- Perform visual quality inspection and sampling of in-process materials; promptly escalate concerns to Lead and Process Facilitator as needed.
- Perform minor troubleshooting, including clearing minor jams and identifying equipment defects; work with technical resources to resolve issues.
- Perform inventory control and reconciliation activities, may use SAP and WES in a limited role.
- Perform cleaning, housekeeping and line clearance activities; assemble/disassemble and sanitize packaging equipment to maintain a cGMP environment.
- Complete batch record and GMP documentation entries; perform required mathematical calculations.
- Follow safety procedures and hazards guidelines (PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, chemical handling, spill controls) and report discrepancies to the process facilitator.
- Work in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and established safety and quality procedures; support lean activities and process improvement (5S, problem-solving, OEE data tracking).
- Act as a certified on-the-job trainer (OJT) for assigned equipment and processes; train and evaluate team members for training qualifications.
- Review process documents (operational SOPs, forms, batch records) for accuracy and provide suggestions for process improvement while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Execute equipment qualification and process validation protocols; adapt to support other manufacturing team areas as needed.
- Maintain needed certifications and qualifications; demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and develop capabilities to contribute to the Process Execution Team.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing/demanding environments; overtime may be required with minimal notice to support business needs.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMP regulated environment
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English
- Good attention to detail; ability to keep accurate records and perform mathematical calculations
- High school graduate, vocational school graduate or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP
- Prior production experience; experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of cGMPs and FDA policies/procedures

The target base pay hiring range for this position is $21.50 - $32.00 per hour, dependent on factors including location, experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.
