Position Summary & Responsibilities
Manufacturing Technician IV, MSAT – This role supports technology transfers and the introduction of new equipment, acting as a liaison with production. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth implementation of new products, processes, and equipment, providing documentation and technical support, and maintaining the high‑quality environment required for biomanufacturing.
- Assist with development and execution of studies supporting new equipment, products, and processes.
- Develop, create, and maintain production procedures for setup, changeover, and maintenance of new equipment or processes.
- Provide training for Maintenance Technicians and Production Operators.
- Lead long‑term continuous improvement projects in manufacturing operations.
- Utilize diverse testing tools and measuring equipment for troubleshooting electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform work safely and responsibly, following SOPs, cGMPs, OSHA, and company SHE guidelines.
- Contribute creatively to site culture by addressing evolving operational challenges.
- Identify and implement solutions for facility‑wide improvements.
- Work independently under the direction of the MSAT Technical Lead.
- Maintain classified area gowning certifications as required.
- Perform related responsibilities as assigned; overtime may be required with prior notice.
- Author, execute, and approve engineering studies to support tech transfers and commercial production.
- Extensive experience in a cGMP environment, with direct responsibility for equipment or process performance.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment parts, tooling, and materials associated with equipment maintenance and setup.
- Proven teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness and ability to maintain aseptic gowning certification per company procedures.
- High school graduate, vocational school graduate, or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or mechanical trade school graduate preferred.
- Experience with automated equipment and programmable logic controllers.
- Training in vacuum technology, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and equipment testing.
- Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN, or other continuous improvement systems.
