Job Description
EHC is currently looking for a Valve Technician for a client in the West Chester, OH area.
A Valve Technician will modify, repair, and test valves in the valve shop. Key duties include disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling valves, performing pressure tests, lubricating parts, adjusting components based on diagnostic results, and maintaining detailed records of all work performed, often adhering to strict industry and safety regulations. Needs to understand Flow Control and how it works, and willing to demonstrate initiative when learning opportunities arise.
Good work ethics, setting goals, and eager to adapt are keys to success. Must have Attention To Detail, it is a very important part of the job. The Valve Technician will also have responsibilities and tasks that need to be done daily. Housekeeping is a daily task.
- The Valve Technician must have reliable transportation to and from work, must be punctual.
- The position may require long hours of operation depending on the workload. Although there may be times where there is overtime, it is not guaranteed.
- Diploma or GED is required
- 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in valve operations or a related mechanical field.
- Forklift, Crane, Shop Press, Grinding Tools, Floor Scrubber, and Hydrotest Bench Operation will be required.
- Outlook, Excel, Word, and Basic Windows are required. Must be able to write a formal email and be able to upload data and documents as needed.
- Must have knowledge of basic hand tools, and some precision tools.
- Accurate record‑keeping is essential for tracking maintenance activities, test results, and materials used. Keeping up with the calibration on gauges and precision tools.
- Forklift and Crane Inspection must be done daily. Must keep shop area clean, all tools must be put away daily.
