Description: Head Custodian - Grades K - 9, 1 FTE

Job Summary: The Head Custodian is an individual with site-based leadership responsibilities responsible for overseeing daily custodial operations in a K9 school setting.

This position ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained learning environment by coordinating custodial staff, performing hands-on custodial and light maintenance work, and supporting building operations, safety, and security throughout the school day.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver's license required.

Prior custodial or facilities experience required; experience coordinating or leading staff preferred.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to use basic computer systems and district technology applications.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a school and custodial environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; bending, lifting, twisting, and repetitive motions required.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

8 hours per day, 5 days per week, and 260 days per year.

Starting salary information:
Per salary schedule at Lakota, starting at $19.75 per hour, based on verified previous experience.
