Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of payroll operations for our client in West Chester, Ohio. This position requires deep expertise in payroll processing, exceptional attention to detail, and strong leadership. The ideal candidate will have extensive,
recent hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems and a proven ability to run, analyze, and deliver payroll-related reports.
Full-Cycle Payroll Management
- Manage and process all aspects of the payroll cycle for all employee groups with accuracy and timeliness.
- Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and special pay requests.
- Handle payroll adjustments including retroactive pay, off-cycle checks, and year-end processing.
- Ensure payroll is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
ADP System Management & Reporting
- Utilize ADP payroll systems (5+ years of recent experience required) to execute all payroll functions.
- Run detailed payroll reports to support Finance, Accounting, and HR teams.
- Analyze report data for accuracy, compliance, and reconciliation purposes.
- Assist in ADP system updates, testing, and integration initiatives.
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll data.
- Ensure adherence to payroll laws, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Prepare and support audits, delivering accurate and timely documentation.
Employee Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for payroll questions.
- Explain earning statements, deductions, taxation, and payroll processes to employees.
- Resolve discrepancies with urgency and professionalism.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows.
- Lead payroll-related enhancement projects and automation initiatives.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- 5+ years of recent ADP payroll experience required.
- 5+ years of end-to-end payroll lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting multi-state payroll environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll taxation, garnishments, deductions, and compliance.
- Advanced Excel and reporting abilities (must be able to build, run, and interpret payroll reports).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
