This position assists the physician in the examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the physician. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), recording information on patients' charts, and preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations. The position will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of patient care delivery.
You will work cooperatively within the team, demonstrating flexibility, motivation, and commitment to quality patient care. Tasks include patient-related duties, medical record maintenance/documentation, and safety/environmental duties.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
- Proficiency in EKG, injections, and venipuncture. Ability to perform common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and Tri Health policy
- Up to 1 year of experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred

- Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the treatment area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment.
