UC Health is hiring a full-time Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technician at University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. We are offering a $7,500 sign‑on bonus!!

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed by only a registered pharmacist. In addition to responsibilities for a Tech I, Pharmacy Technician II demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation along with competency in a specialized area(s) of the department.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum

Required:

High School Diploma, GED Equivalent. Preferred Degree:
Associate degree

License and Certification:

  • Current pharmacy technician registration by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Current certified technician certificate (approved by Ohio BOP)
  • Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire/transfer
  • Registration and certification throughout their employment with the UC Health Pharmacy Department.

3 years equivalent experience. Preferred: 5 years equivalent experience

Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health‑system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.

Expected starting salary range for this position is between $23.78/hr.

- $30.06/hr.

The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
