Overview

Occupational Therapist (OT), Full-Time, First Shift – Occupational Therapy Department, UC Health. UC Health is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist for the rehabilitation services department at West Chester Hospital.

The occupational therapist will support West Chester Hospital’s rehabilitation services department, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policy and procedures.

West Chester Hospital provides its patients with access to the region’s largest group of specialized physicians and medical providers. It is a Level III Trauma Center with a certified Primary Stroke Center that provides access to subspecialty care at the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute.

  • Bachelor s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by AOTA.
• License & Certification:
  • License to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Ohio.

  • Preferred: 1-2 years equivalent experience.

• Engages in population-appropriate communication. Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks. Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment. Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient. Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary. • Selects appropriate therapeutic assessment tools. Upon referral completes a functional comprehensive individualized assessment. Develops individualized treatment programs consistent with patient s diagnosis, status, and goals. Establishes goals/plans of care with realistic and measurable outcomes aligned to patient goals, diagnosis, prognosis, learning ability of patient/caregiver, physical/mental status and anticipated lifestyle. Completes evaluations according to departmental policy. Evaluates for needed equipment and follow-up, if indicated.
