Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T0860) at Target.
Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $15.00 USD per hour
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to help solve specific needs and resolve concerns.
- Promote current promos, store activities and events; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain and demonstrate how to use features in the Target App, including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up (OPU), Drive Up (DU), and online ordering and assist guests in enrolling and using these features.
- Handle returns following policies and procedures, and escalate to Leaders as needed to resolve guest issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; follow safety policies and report hazards when needed.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and DU returns, and comply with applicable laws and policies.
- Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including team members.

- You are open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
- Effective communication, positive language, and attentiveness to guest needs.

- Ability to educate guests about products and services; communicate across multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule; reliable and prompt attendance required; ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Work in varying temperatures and conditions depending on duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
