OR RN – Intraoperative Duties & Call Requirements (Summary) Provides intraoperative nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in coordination with the surgical team. Maintains high professional standards while interacting with patients and the healthcare team. Primary Duties:
Circulating, instrumenting, first assisting Assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers Patient education and resource nurse support Surgical Specialties: ENT, General, Orthopedics (including Spine), Podiatry, Dental/Oral Surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/GYN (including C-sections), Vascular, Bariatric Patient Population:
All ages undergoing surgical procedures Call Requirements:
Approximately 70–80 call hours per 4-week period 30-minute response time Additional call hours required
