Auto Door Engineer

At Wood Security Systems, we specialise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic doors, gates, barriers, and roller shutters across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. We’re growing fast — and we’re looking for a skilled, motivated Engineer to join our professional and supportive team. The Role

• Installing, servicing, and repairing automatic doors
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
• Ensuring all systems comply with current safety standards and regulations
• Providing a high level of customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
• Completing accurate service reports and documentation

Key Requirements

• Proven experience working with automatic doors
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Able to travel throughout UK and stay overnight when required (Expenses covered)
• Able to provide or pass DBS check (mandatory)
• EN16005 (Automatic Door Safety Standard)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Multiskilled - Auto Doors, Gates, Barriers, Shutters
• Familiarity with DHF TS 012 / BS EN 12453
