CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) – West Bromwich – B70
4 Day Working Week – Monday to Thursday – 6:00am to 4:00pm

My client is a specialist manufacturer of roll tooling, providing reliable subcontract machining services across the West Midlands and throughout Europe. They deliver complete end-to-end and turnkey machining solutions, alongside a nationwide 24/7 breakdown service and in-house machining for tubes and sections.

They are looking to recruit a CNC Turner on a permanent basis to join a small, close-knit team of 7–8 staff. This is a hands-on role focused on setting and operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls

* Set tooling, offsets, and prove out programs

* Produce components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances

* Operate CNC lathes with C and Y axis capability (desirable)

* Carry out basic program edits at the machine

* Monitor machining processes and maintain quality standards

* Inspect components using appropriate measuring equipment

* Work closely with the production team to meet schedules

* Adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter / Operator)

* Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes

* Ability to set machines from scratch

* Experience with C and Y axis lathes is desirable

* Good understanding of machining principles and tooling

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
