Material Handler

Neon Contracts is employing for our client in the West Bromwich area. They are a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. We are looking for an experienced material handler with an overhead crane and combi forklift licenses.

• Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
• Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
• Take responsibility for inspection goods for quality and quantity
• Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving improvements in all aspects of the role
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned

• A good knowledge of material handling processes
• Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
• Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
• Commitment to the rotating shift pattern
• Must have an overhead crane license
• Hours of work will be 39 hours per week on a 2-week rota
• Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
• Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm
• Hourly rate of £12.00 depending on experience, plus 22% shift allowance
