CNC Programmer​/Setter Operator

CNC Programmer/Setter Operator (Citizen & Miyano)

Due to business expansion our client is looking for a permanent CNC Programmer/Setter, someone with experience in Citizen and Miyano. You will be working in a fast‑paced environment for a leading engineering company in Olbury.

• Set and operate Citizen Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC lathes (L20s, L32s – including LFV)
• Set and operate Miyano Fixed Head CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
• Program CNC machines for new jobs using existing G‑code templates
• Change tips, drills, tools, and inserts to maintain machine performance
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Perform first‑off inspections and measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometres
• Follow production job card system and maintain production documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter, CNC Operator, or Sliding Head Setter
• Strong knowledge of Citizen sliding head or fixed head lathes and Miyano fixed head lathes
• Competence with Fanuc controls and ability to edit and optimise G‑code
• Ability to work with tight tolerances across a variety of metals
• Good understanding of precision engineering and lean manufacturing principles

Working Monday – Friday 7.00am – 4.00pm

Pay £18‑£19.00ph dependent on experience – (Bonus Twice a year)
