Industrial Chemist

Location: Wednesbury

We are seeking an Industrial Chemist to join a high-performing production team. This role is ideal for a hands-on chemist who enjoys translating laboratory science into safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes.

About the Role

In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting and optimising chemical manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured consistently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee and support day-to-day chemical manufacturing processes

* Optimise formulations, processes, and yields to improve efficiency and reduce waste

* Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations

* Support scale-up from lab or pilot to full production

* Analyse process data and prepare technical reports and documentation

* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, QA/QC, and R&D teams

What We’re Looking For

* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

* Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing chemistry environment

* Strong understanding of chemical processes, raw materials, and production equipment

* Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or similar manufacturing standards

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, plant-based environment

* Strong communication skills and a practical, safety-first mindset
