Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Equans is looking for a Ventilation Maintenance Assistant to join our team based at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick on a permanent basis. The role is full‑time, 40 hours per week, with a salary of £25,400 per annum and a benefits package.
What you will deliver- Mechanical ventilation experience.
- Assist in engineering activities and undertake duties for which you are trained and competent.
- Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.
- Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Contract.
- Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
- Salary £25,400 per annum.

Who you are- Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
- Previous ventilation experience.
- Prepared to work a flexible shift system, including nights.
- Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level. (Desirable)
- Possess a current valid driving licence. (Desirable)
- Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment. (Desirable)
- Must be able to pass a DBS Standard check.
