Ventilation Maintenance Assistant

Equans is looking for a Ventilation Maintenance Assistant to join our team based at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick on a permanent basis. The role is full‑time, 40 hours per week, with a salary of £25,400 per annum and a benefits package.

• Mechanical ventilation experience.
• Assist in engineering activities and undertake duties for which you are trained and competent.
• Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.
• Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Contract.
• Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.

• Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
• Previous ventilation experience.
• Prepared to work a flexible shift system, including nights.
• Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level. (Desirable)
• Possess a current valid driving licence. (Desirable)
• Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment. (Desirable)
• Must be able to pass a DBS Standard check.
