As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will :

Design bespoke lifting equipment, taking projects from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings.
Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
Perform calculations by hand, Excel, and FEA to verify designs and ensure compliance with standards.
Provide technical support during production, testing, installation, and commissioning stages.
Produce statutory documents, quality records, and operation and maintenance instructions.
Manage multiple projects at various stages of development while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

A minimum of an HND in Mechanical Engineering, with a BSc preferred.
Proven experience in designing special-purpose machinery, ideally lifting equipment but good mechanical and hydraulic equipment would be considered.
Proficiency in CAD being able to use AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Microsoft Office applications for design activities being advantageous although other systems will be considered.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and British/International engineering standards.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
