Experienced Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - SEND/Autism)
Location:
Smethwick, West Midlands
Position:
Full-Time, 5 Days a Week
Hours:
08:30 AM - 03:30 PM
- Provide personalized 1:1 support to a student with SEND and Autism.
- Assist with academic, social, and emotional development, helping the student to achieve their best.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to deliver effective support.
- Implement tailored strategies to ensure the student can engage fully in the curriculum.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage independence.
- Assist with the use of learning tools, resources, and techniques specific to the student s needs.
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND and Autism.
- A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and parents.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by children with Autism and how to provide support tailored to their needs.
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
