They are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEND and Autism on a 1:1 basis in key stage one.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student who has Autism and other special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalized 1:1 support to a student with SEND and Autism.
  • Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development, helping the student to achieve their best.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and other staff to deliver effective support.
  • Implementing tailored strategies to ensure the student can engage fully in the curriculum.
  • Promoting positive behavior and encouraging independence.
  • Assisting with the use of learning tools, resources, and techniques specific to the student's needs.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND and Autism.
  • A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and parents.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by children with Autism and how to provide support tailored to their needs.
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
