Overview

Pennyhill Primary School is a large primary school with amazing children, families and staff in West Bromwich. We are looking to appoint a confident Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant/Play worker.

Essential Qualities and Responsibilities
  • Patience to work with young children.
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to encouraging and engaging with children during lunchtime.
  • Willingness to organise games and activities in line with the school’s policy for enrichment activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
  • Responsible for supervising children before and after lunch and during playground duty.

You should be able to work flexibly and be adaptable, as every day is different and everyone works as a team to ensure that lunchtime runs smoothly and safely. You will work alongside our experienced lunchtime team.

Position Details

Fixed‑term post for 5 hours per week (1 hour a day Term Time only), Monday to Friday 12:00‑1:00 p.m.

Fixed Term (ending July 2026)

Location:

Pennyhill Primary School, Holly hedge Road, West Bromwich, B71 3BU

Salary:
Grade Band B, SCP 3–4 £ 24,796–£25,185 pro rata (£12.85–£13.05 per hour) (actual £2,925–£2,971 per annum)

An online search will be carried out on shortlisted candidates and pre‑employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE 2023.
