• Annual Salary: circa £34,004 plus £2,500 car allowance per annum

This role is pivotal in delivering the aims of Concept Housing Association’s resident engagement strategy, including initiatives that support residents to scrutinise services, monitor performance, and hold the organisation accountable.

• Develop and promote opportunities for residents to engage with Concept Housing that are reflective of the resident profile and respond to differing resident needs.
• Support all engaged residents to participate in the scrutiny and monitoring of Concept Housing services which reflects their requirements.
• Lead the development and coordination of the annual’s events and activities programme.
• Promote the benefits of resident engagement throughout Concept and with its partners and the wider community.
• Develop a menu of resident engagement opportunities that reflects the resident profile.
• Develop approaches to increase engagement from underrepresented and hard to reach groups.
• Provide support and advice to residents who wish to become more actively engaged including establishing resident groups, accessing funding, or increasing ways that feedback can be provided.
• Provide clear and understandable information to residents which allows them to scrutinise and monitor Concept Housing’s services.
• Develop the annual engagement plan and undertake an activity impact assessment.
• Support residents to engage in the development of the Annual Report.
• Organise and attend resident consultation and engagement meetings as required.
• Develop partnerships with managing agents to increase the engagement of residents in the delivery and scrutiny of services.
• Promote resident engagement throughout Concept Housing and ensure opportunities to increase the involvement of residents are maximised.
• Support a resident-centric approach, encouraging colleagues to learn from feedback and deliver service improvements.
• Support the use of technology to provide an accessible resident-focused service.
• Ensure performance and service standards are achieved and/or exceeded.

• Experience in a customer-facing organisation.
• Experience of using different methods to engage customers to provide feedback and scrutinise services.
• Experience of holding consultation events.
• Experience of working with a range of agencies, including statutory and voluntary agencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and organisational skills, with experience of meeting deadlines.
• Ability to be self-motivating, operate at pace and positively respond to change.
• Financial management skills including budget management and cost control.
• Valid UK driving licence with daily access to a vehicle.

• Experience of working with marginalised/hard to reach customer groups.
• Experience of using technology to improve services for residents.
• Experience of planning and holding community/customer events.
• CIH Level 3 Diploma in Housing, or higher education qualification in housing (or relevant experience and open to gaining a relevant qualification if required by government).
• Experience of working within the social housing sector.
