Quantity Surveyor

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial oversight and support to projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, on budget and in line with contractual obligations.

• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and forecasts for projects
• Monitoring project costs and identifying potential risks and opportunities
• Managing subcontractor valuations, variations and payment applications
• Supporting tender preparation and commercial negotiations
• Liaising with Project Managers, Site Teams and Clients on financial matters
• Producing regular reports on project financial performance
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company policies and procedures

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting
• Background working on construction projects across private and public sectors
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial management and cost control
• Experienced in procurement, subcontractor management and valuations
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
• Relevant QS qualification (RICS or equivalent preferred)
