HIGHWAY SEASONAL HELP

The Washington County Highway Department (shop locations in Slinger and West Bend) is seeking seasonal help from responsible individuals that want to be part of a team and join in our mission of providing a safe, reliable, accessible, and efficient highway system.

Seasonal positions are available at both shop locations and involve working between the months of May/June through August. The majority of time would be spent outdoors on or along the county and state highway and local road systems. Examples of duties include flagging traffic, assisting with light construction, vegetation removal and maintenance, lawn mowing, and grounds maintenance. We'll train you!

Work Hours:

Up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:00pm (four 10-hour days, off on Fridays).

Qualified candidates must possess:

• Good communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license

Starting rate of pay is $17.00 per hour based on experience. No benefits offered with position.
