Opportunity

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care at Froedtert Hospital and Clinics, a qua ternary referral center ranked 3rd by Vizient.
  • Teach fellows, residents, medical students, and allied science students at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
  • Encouraged to initiate or maintain a program of funded research (clinical or laboratory), with focus areas including infection prevention and control and transplant infectious disease.
  • Commit to clinical excellence, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and the academic mission of MCW.
Qualifications
  • Unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
  • Completed Residency in Internal Medicine and an Infectious Disease Fellowship, board eligible/certified in infectious disease, and eligible to be licensed in Wisconsin.

Division of Infectious Disease

The Division of Infectious Disease consists of 28 faculty members providing care at four major affiliates—Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, Zablocki V.A. Medical Center, and Vivent Health. The division focuses on complex infectious diseases, febrile illnesses, and research in areas such as Borrelia and Leptospira infections,

C. difficile, HIV, global health, transplant infectious diseases, and nosocomial infections. It also leads education, quality improvement, patient safety, infection control, and antimicrobial stewardship programs at MCW.

Medical College of Wisconsin

Location

The role is based at Froedtert Hospital and Clinics, the primary adult medical facility at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Milwaukee on a 225‑acre medical campus.
