Summary

Under the direction and reporting to the General Manager and Owner, responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve the company’s final products and processes to meet state law and regulatory standards including internal compliance with quality assurance policies and procedures.

Education and Work Experience

Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma is required. One to two years of demonstrated experience and/or certificate in quality assurance is required.

Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities

(This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time)

  • Create quality measures to track improvement in product and services.
  • Prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections, checks, and audits on Quality Assurance Program.
  • Identifying and resolving workflow procedure issues and/or concerns.
  • Ensure State law and regulatory standards are observed and followed.
  • Address and discuss issues and/or concerns proposing solutions with Management.
  • Document quality assurance activities, corrective actions, and audit procedures.
  • Make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create operation and training materials for quality assurance.
Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities Needed
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to generate reports and to plan, coordinate and administer complex quality systems and processes is necessary.
  • Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues is required.
  • Effective oral and written communications and presentation skills are essential, as are interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
  • Ability to work with frequent, established deadlines is required.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals is required.
  • PC skills to include MS Office software, such as Excel and Word, Electronic Health Records and other software as needed.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Collaborate with care teams to provide feedback, coaching, and training to maintain high-quality services.
  • Investigate client complaints, incidents, and adverse events, ensuring proper follow-up and corrective action.
