Education Requirements- Wisconsin License for Occupational Therapy
- NBCOT Certification
- Client Assessment:
Conduct thorough evaluations and screenings based on OT orders, review client history and precautions, and effectively communicate findings to clients, families, and staff. Complete all assessment documentation accurately and timely. - Treatment Planning:
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results, communicate plans to clients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate timely discharge or transfer planning. - Therapy Implementation:
Deliver and prioritize interventions according to client needs and medical directives, adjust treatments based on client understanding, and maintain communication with assistants and interdisciplinary team. Document all daily interventions. - Ongoing Evaluation:
Continuously assess the effectiveness of interventions, document necessary changes in the plan of care, and communicate significant updates to clients, families, and healthcare team. Complete all discharge documentation. - Program Development & Training:
Design and enhance rehab programs, lead student practicums, conduct staff and community in-services, and assist in developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures.
