Position: Business Office Manager (SNF)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager (BOM) to oversee the financial and administrative operations of a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. This role is critical to ensuring accurate billing, payroll support, accounts receivable, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Summary

The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day business office functions, including resident billing, insurance verification, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and financial reporting. This individual works closely with facility leadership, corporate teams, and external partners to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee resident billing, collections, and accounts receivable
  • Verify insurance coverage and manage Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing processes
  • Coordinate payroll processing and employee records in collaboration with HR
  • Manage trust accounts and resident funds in compliance with regulations
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and documentation for audits and surveys
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and payer requirements
  • Serve as a resource for residents and families regarding billing and financial questions
  • Supervise and train business office staff, as applicable
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Business Office Manager or similar role in SNF/LTC or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing
  • Experience with payroll systems and accounting software
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
