Shift: 12p-12a
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree upon hire
- Six months of hospital nursing experience upon hire OR successful completion of the AHWC Graduate Nurse Training Program
- Active Florida RN or APRN license required upon hire.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols
- Current NIHSS Certification upon hire.
- 8 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.
- 8 hours Hip & Knee Replacement / Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.
- AVADE Education within 90 days of hire date.
- Current American Heart Association PALS certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols
