Job Description:

* Performs other duties as assigned. Administers medications accurately and appropriately, including PO, SQ, IV, IV PUSH, IVPB, IM, SL, PR, topical, and intradermal.

* Provides education to patients and families about medical and nursing care, medications, tests, procedures, and discharge instructions.

* Responds to and participates in emergency situations, utilizing BLS and ACLS protocols.

* Assists physicians with bedside procedures and ensures proper implementation of EMS and nursing actions.

* Maintains a professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families, utilizing age-appropriate communication skills.

Bachelor's of Nursing (Required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, AVADE (AVADE) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Driver's License (DL) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
