Position SummaryThis position performs EMG’s and EEG’s testing on patients in the office. Assists providers and manages clinical functions.

- Completes the start of day processes
- Unlocks cabinets and doors
- Powers up equipment
- Logs on all work stations in exam room and work area
- Sets up medical supplies and equipment for the day
- Performs diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the referring providers
- Confirms information required by provider
- Brings patient back and performs EMG or EEG testing
- Completes first portion of EMG test (the technical portion)
- Enters charges for EMG studies
- Performs EEG testing independently
- Cleans and sanitizes room after every patient
- Completes the end of day processes
- Maintains medical equipment; ensures all equipment is calibrated, cleaned, sterilized and charged
- Stocks exam rooms and communicates supply order needs
- Locks all cabinets
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area
- Participates in maintenance of clinical supplies
- Performs other incidental tasks as needed
High school graduate or GED equivalent
Licensure / CertificationBLS required; certification from Neurodiagnostic program
Experience1 year experience preferred, not required
