Overview
Position Summary The Therapy Front Representative is responsible for all aspects of Therapy front end office functions from greeting the patient on the first visit, through their final visit or areas of the Front Desk Representative include benefit verification and authorization, patient financial responsibility collection, Therapy chart maintenance, patient scheduling, financial end of day collection reconciliation, and patient follow up on all Business Office related functions regarding Therapy Visits.

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent, Customer Service Skills, and Preferably experience in the medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Excellent Customer Service at all times.
- Obtain therapy benefits for all patients and assist with related processes.
- Monitor current therapy prescriptions for expired or fulfilled therapy prescriptions.
- Retrieve voice messages and ensure all calls are returned promptly and professionally.
- Ensure good communication with Therapists regarding all patient matters.
- Contact patients that should be advised of issues regarding their insurance such as terminated coverage or therapy visits not authorized, in advance before the patient’s appointment.
- Keep work area tidy and free from clutter at all times.
- Check and respond to all voicemail messages.
- Cross train in all therapy front desk areas.
- Attend and participate in the monthly staff and Front Desk meetings in your clinic.
- Perform job duties with professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed before leaving at the end of your scheduled shift.
- Acknowledge and greet all patients upon arrival to the Therapy department.
- Collect all co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles at the time services are rendered.
- Explain in detail all new patient paperwork including benefits to all new patients.
- Follow up on all inactive patients.
- Call patients from the Athena orders.
- Schedule all Therapy New and Established patients per the Therapy Plan of Care.
- Communicate well with patients, visitors, and all FOI team members.
- Complete Chart Discharge procedures and prepare for Medical Records.
- Distribute and collect mail twice daily.
- All other duties as assigned.
