Part-Time Accounting Assistant

The Part-Time Accounting Assistant supports daily financial operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company policies. This role is essential for maintaining up-to-date financial data and supporting the broader accounting team. This role would be ideal for someone currently enrolled in an accounting program.

• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper codes.
• Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers.
• Reconcile or report discrepancies in records.
• Perform general office duties, including filing, answering phones, and handling correspondence.
• Access computerized financial information to answer account-related questions.
• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data.
• Debit, credit, and total accounts using spreadsheets and databases.

• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional coursework or certification in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
