Overview
Assistant Store Manager Sally Beauty 01632 is responsible for hiring, developing and leading store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through analysis, action planning, effective communication and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and are responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Responsibilities- 30% Brand:
Supervise and support daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.). Act as main point of contact to resolve customer issues. Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands. - 30% People:
Engage, train and develop the team to achieve positive results. Recruit to build a network of external candidates when needed. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate and address via coaching or counseling. Enforce Company policies, maintain positive associate relations, and communicate relevant information. Build relations with Store Manager peers and maintain communication with AM/DM. Foster diversity, inclusion and belonging. - 30% Operations:
Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Utilize digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). - Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Manage payroll hours to meet business needs and schedule accordingly. Ensure correct opening and closing procedures. Complete Company directives and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
- 10% Safety/Loss Prevention:
Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies, protect assets through inventory and cash control procedures, and analyze reports/tools/technology. Ensure compliance with all HAZMAT training and related procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
- At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
- Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives.
- Effective communication with team and management.
- Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
- Passionate Learner.

Physical Requirements
- Physical activity includes standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting moderately heavy items, and may require working in other stores occasionally.
- Work environment includes typical office, retail, and vehicle settings with standard safety precautions and adequately lit, heated, and ventilated areas.
