This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Join a mission-driven team supporting individuals in crisis through Missouri’s Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) program. As a Community Support Specialist, you’ll be the connection point between emergency care and long-term recovery, helping individuals stabilize, access services, and re-engage in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting individuals in accessing mental health, medical, financial, and housing services
Providing direct support for essential needs like food, shelter, and clothing during times of crisis
Coaching and training in independent living skills such as budgeting, transportation, and self-care
Helping individuals navigate community resources for long-term support and stability
Following up on appointments and assisting with forms, documentation, and applications
Providing transportation when needed to support access to care and services
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• High School/GED required
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in a human service related field preferred
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options
listed:
o Qualified addiction professional;
o Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S.
Department of Education’s database of accredited schools at http:/ope.ed.gov/accreditation;
o Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience;
o Four years of qualifying experience; or
o Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the Department of Mental Health.
• Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness,
substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
