About the Position Position Description

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
As a staff member at WCC, you are expected to grow in your walk with Jesus, lead with humility and integrity, and work hard at your calling. Our team is actively engaged in worship, Life Groups, and service throughout the week. We hold each other accountable to both competence and character, committed to growing together. Your life and leadership should reflect the same message you are sharing with the kids and families you serve.

VOLUNTEER TEAM MEMBERS:
Volunteers are at the heart of our ministry, and leading them well is key to your success. You will recruit, train, and invest in a team of passionate adults and teens for Sunday mornings and special events. As their coach and encourager, your support helps them thrive. When volunteers feel equipped and valued, they create environments where kids feel safe, loved, and excited to grow in their faith.

PROGRAMMING:
As the Elementary Minister, you will lead the creation and execution of engaging Sunday and midweek programming that helps kids know, love, and follow Jesus. This includes planning curriculum, prepping classrooms, and shaping meaningful experiences for worship, teaching, and small groups. You will also help design new spaces for kids as we prepare to renovate our current worship center for Next Gen ministry after the completion of our current expansion project.

You will collaborate closely with the Next Gen team to create and execute events, outreach efforts, and discipleship strategies that connect with kids and parents. Regular communication with families and ongoing evaluation of programming will ensure everything remains impactful, Christ-centered, and aligned with WCC’s mission. PARTNERSHIP:
This ministry is deeply relational, and so are we. You will partner with parents, offering encouragement and resources as they raise their kids to love Jesus. You will also work closely with our Early Childhood Minister and wentzville

Kidz Ministry Assistant to create a smooth, connected experience for families and help them engage more fully with the church. You will be a vital part of our staff team, contributing to pastoral care, budgeting, and planning churchwide events. Collaboration is key. We believe ministry is best done together, and you will not be expected to lead alone.
