Pac Aero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Pac Aero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

Job Summary

The Level III CNC Machinist is a highly skilled, independent contributor responsible for performing complex, multi-step setups and running production on advanced CNC machinery (3- and 4-axis). This role requires deep expertise in programming edits, tooling, and fixture adjustments, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve machining issues without assistance. The machinist ensures first-part accuracy, performs advanced inspections including first-article and GD&T checks, and maintains high efficiency and quality standards.

In addition to machining responsibilities, the role requires excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills—providing support to less experienced machinists and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Adherence to safety policies, company procedures, and strong attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage workflow with minimal supervision.

Schedule

Must be willing to work one of the following schedules, decided st couple months will train on Day shift.

  • Day Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm.
  • Night Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 3:15pm to 1:45am;
    Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. (Will train on Day Shift 1-2 months at start)
  • Weekend Day Shift 3x12: Friday through Sunday 5:00am to 6:00pm (earlier leave time if waiving 2nd lunch);
    Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. Includes 4 stock hours to round up to a 40 hour work week.
  • Weekend Night Shift 3x12: Friday through Sunday 5:00pm to 6:00am (earlier leave time if waiving 2nd lunch);
    Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. Includes 4 stock hours to round up to a 40 hour work week.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression towards a level III machinist role.
Level III Machinist Responsibilities
  • Independently run production parts, including quick-change jobs and one-off components. Proficient in setting up machines, downloading and adjusting CNC programs, and verifying first-part quality.
  • Perform complete setups, including preparing and installing fixtures, cutting and selecting tooling, setting tool offsets, and making necessary tool and fixture offset adjustments. Capable of dialing in new tools and the ability to identify when cutters need replaced.
  • Execute complex, multi-step setups on advanced CNC equipment, including 3- and 4-axis machines. Ensure alignment with shop documentation, processes, and best practices throughout all machining operations.
  • Consistently meeting allocated set-up times.
