Are you passionate about supporting social services staff and ensuring the highest quality of care for our community? Join our Home and Community Living Administration as we improve long-term care services through consultation, training, and quality assurance. In this job, you’ll provide training, consultation and support to all Nursing Facility Case Management staff throughout the region. This job includes a flexible office location anywhere in King, Snohomish, Skagit, or Whatcom counties.

This job entails regular travel throughout these counties as you''ll support the onboarding and training of new and existing social services staff across this area.

Note:

Snohomish County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs. King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.

Some of what you’ll do

  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and provide training and consultation to staff at all levels regularly to ensure compliance with program requirements, WACs, RCW’s, operating policies, procedures, etc
  • Develop, evaluate and distribute tracking and statistic measures related to Nursing Facility Case Management
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of Transition Support Services eligibility, funding sources, and community providers.
  • Disseminate information to staff to inform them of current policy and procedures, management bulletins, WAC changes, and other changes that affect long term care programs.
  • Act as a liaison between local, regional, and headquarters staff for all policy clarifications, interpretations, and dissemination of information to the field

We’re looking for those with

A bachelor’s degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field; and 5 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs

Or A master’s degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field; and 4 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs

Or One year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 3 or equivalent

Or Two years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2 or equivalent

Note:

A degree in Social Work must be from an educational program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Desired

  • Knowledge of Medicaid LTC related policies and procedures; ability to interpret and apply lawsand regulations into training and consultation provided to social services staff
  • Knowledge of programs administered by the DSHS Home and Community Living Administration that may affect our client population
  • Knowledge of current training methods and techniques for adult learners
  • Experience regarding the CARE Tool, LTC Quality Assurance process, and Provider One systems
