CFO, Financial Manager
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Columbia Farm Services (CFS) provides strategic financial leadership to optimize operating and financial performance. The CFO oversees financial planning, reporting, tax, and cash management while ensuring alignment with the priorities and values s role requires both hands‑on financial management and high‑level strategic thinking to improve cost accounting, budgeting, and financial processes. The CFO will have a talented finance team reporting to them, and must be able to communicate, lead, and drive results.
QualificationsKnowledge of:
- Financial and manufacturing accounting principles, including GAAP.
- Budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and credit utilization.
- Inventory control, purchasing, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong work ethic, ability to connect with people, and a positive attitude.
- Must be a leader of leaders, understanding how to develop people and process.
- Lead and support CFS’s strategic initiatives.
- Analyze and present financial insights clearly to executives and clients.
- Build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller or equivalent leadership role.
- CPA license preferred but not required.
- Experience in farming or food packaging is a plus.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to farming and industrial sites.
- Some local and overnight travel required for meetings and training.
