Pac Aero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. Pac Aero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments.
Pac Aero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.
Job Summary
Our Manufacturing Engineer (ME), utilizing Pac Aero’s core competencies, is responsible for designing, applying and optimizing sequential processing operations in low-rate initial production (LRIP) to full production of mission-critical defense, emerging energy and biomedical implantable assemblies.
In this well-balanced role between hands‑on mechanical and analytics engineering, they work in an ever‑evolving, fast‑paced, manufacturing environment with collaborative teams consisting of senior manufacturing experts and tenured engineering staff pushing new capability and capacity limits while achieving our customer partner and Pac Aero performance requirements.

Manufacturing Engineer I ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily:
- Agile
Collaboration:
Ability to work within fast-paced, multi‑functional teams that span the entirety of Pac Aero to successfully achieve performance targets. - Prototype to LRIP Transition: Team with our product development and process engineers in transferring new leading‑edge products from prototype to LRIP.
- Problem‑Solving: Teaming with senior manufacturing, quality and process engineers, apply your strong root‑cause analysis skills in identifying and separating variables, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve production based technical challenges.
- Performance Analysis: Perform analysis of targeted products to determine and implement best course actions toward maximizing first pass yield (FPY), reducing both cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and total processing time.
- Process and Supplier Development: Assist Process Engineers and/or suppliers in developing and optimizing new processes, and/or existing processes, to achieve performance and quality requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documents and files essential to support accurate cost estimating and process reporting toward FDA regulatory submissions and military contract deliverables.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both internal and external. Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language required.
- Productivity/IT Systems: Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Teams proficiency, including CAD (Solidworks preferred) with PLM, and ERP (ABAS preferred) systems.
- Design and Quality: Proficiency in Solid Works and statistical tools like Minitab. Strong knowledge and understanding of technical drawings.
- Materials: Strong knowledge and understanding of ferrous and non‑ferrous metals and alloys, including but not limited to glasses, ceramics, and thermoplastics.
- Process: Knowledge and understanding of precision machining, electro‑plating, laser welding, glass sealing, ceramic sealing, soldering, and vacuum brazing.
- Regulatory: Knowledge and understanding of military and industry standards, specifications and quality requirements (MIL‑STD, IEEE, ASTM, etc.).
- Reasoning: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
