CONTRACT RATEThe hourly rate for this position starts at $28.25 per hour, with a top-step at $40.89 per hour.

JOB POSTING Energy Resource Conservation Specialist OverviewThis position is primarily responsible for providing customer facing energy efficiency and conservation service and for providing general administrative support to the Energy Development and Conservation team. The position also creates program records, coordinates incentive payment processing, and provides basic analytical program support in the development and ongoing administration of business unit plans and activities.
ResponsibilitiesGreet customers on the phone and in person. Provide standardized energy efficiency program information and respond to general questions. Provide information such as how to apply for rebates, or how to get additional information. Relay customer questions and contact information to program staff.
Provide general administrative support to the energy efficiency and conservation team. Process requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices for payment. Coordinate contract and professional service agreement updates. Make travel arrangements. Order and maintain office and program supplies. Perform data entry, make calls, and prepare correspondence or presentations, as needed.
Create renewable energy program customer records and coordinate incentive payment processing for programs such as SNAP, WA State Incentive Payments, and community solar projects.
Provide analytical and management support to department manager. Prepare data driven reports. Solicit, gather, and compile data and other narrative information from a variety of sources using word processing or spreadsheet software. Reconcile and manipulate spreadsheet data originating from multiple systems. Support the annual business planning process development. Track and report on business unit plans, goals and programs.
Support program staff at home shows, fairs or during other customer events by setting up displays, greeting the public, and answering general program questions.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance:
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Qualifications EducationEquivalent experience (year for year) may substitute for required education.
Candidates with some college or technical training related to business or office administration desired.
2+ years progressively responsible administrative experience with a customer service focus, including a strong background in the use of spreadsheets and other business software required
