Relief Activity Support Worker
Creative Support is a non‑profit organisation which provides high‑quality person‑centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Activity Support Worker to initiate, plan and provide enjoyable and stimulating group and one‑to‑one activities based on the identified needs, interests and preferences of older people living in our Extra Care Services in Brent and Harrow. You will facilitate social inclusion and community links and promote their physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.
Responsibilities& Duties
- Initiate, plan and provide enjoyable & stimulating group & one‑to‑one activities based on the identified needs, interests & preferences of older people living in our Extra Care Services.
- Facilitate social inclusion and community links; promote physical & mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.
- Write reports and create promotional materials such as posters & newsletters to showcase ongoing activities.
- Work flexibly on a zero‑hours contract, relief basis and travel between services across Brent and Harrow.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate and work with people in groups.
- Experience or knowledge working with people with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism and physical disabilities is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and similar software is desirable.
- Enthusiastic, resourceful, energetic, hardworking, and capable of demonstrating warmth, compassion & unconditional positive regard.
- Willingness to travel between services across Brent and Harrow.
